She's Arrived!

Anna Jean Fach Brower arrived into our lives on Friday morning (March 23rd) after a very short labour. I felt an 'oh...that's something' sensation when speaking with my mother-in-law on the phone whilst lying in bed trying to rest and get the last of my papers marked. After Anna was born I looked at my mobile, and mum's call had come in at 10:18. The sensation probably came around 10:30 and Anna came into the world at 11:55. Although I wouldn't wish labour on anyone, if you've gotta do it you need to try it my way :)

My adrenalin is starting to wear off, but I have to say that so far, things are much easier the second time around. Anna has been a quick study where feeding is concerned and that has made a HUGE difference. And, of course, mama and papa are much more chilled out this time around. Either she is sensing that and responding in kind or she is just a REALLY chilled out baby (so far...).

We would have been equally delighted with a boy, but it is kind of nice to have another girl in the ranks. And she is so lovely. Don't you agree?

If you want to see more pics, Derek has brought 'Browler' back to life, for awhile at least, and you can see more of Anna at:

Well done you. Second babies are definitely more chilled out than the first one. May all your days and nights be peaceful. Enjoy

Yay! Congratulations on the speedy delivery and the beautiful baby girl. Our daughter arrived just a few days later on March 27 - perhaps a future play date is in order...?
